Rainy Day, Mindful Day

It was quite rainy today and that made me cast my mind back to bad weather I’ve experienced while traveling in the past.  This experience on Lithuania’s Curonian Spit, which I wrote about for another website, came to mind.  Although I wasn’t aware of the concept of mindfulness at the time, rereading the way I carefully documented my actions and feelings, reflecting a heightened sensitivity to them, it seems like my first exercise in combining travel, mindfulness, and writing.
